It also promotes an awareness of the impact of epilepsy on a person’s life physically, socially and emotionally.

Respond to seizures in adults with intellectual disabilities

The course covers the ability to understand, recognise and appropriately manage situations in which seizure activity may be present in people with an intellectual disability. It also includes the application of a person-centred approach to manage the impact on the individual experiencing seizure activity and others who may be present at the time of a seizure.
