Description

This self-paced online course typically takes 5.5 hrs to complete. You’ll learn about seizure emergencies and how to administer Diazepam when used for seizure emergencies. It includes:

  • what is a seizure emergency?
  • how to manage seizure emergencies;
  • common medications used and why
  • your responsibilities during the process; and

how to practically administer the medication in a safe and timely manner. There are short answer questions, quizzes and a practical assessment required to complete this course

Prerequisites

Please note before purchase:

  1. Epilepsy Essentials is a prerequisite for this course, either online or face-to-face. If we cannot establish that you have previously completed Epilepsy Essentials, your Certificate of Completion for Emergency Medications must be witheld until that is established.
  2. Once you have registered for the course, please contact us at education@epilepsy.org.au quoting your order number and provide an address for delivery of your practical assessment kit.
  3. Becuase we must send you an assessmnent kit for the practical assessment component if this course by Australia Post, you cannot enrol and complete the course on the same day. Your continued enrolment in the course is deemed as your acceptance of that condition.
  4. Your course access will expire 3 months after purchase.
