This training course bundles together our two most popular courses and provides an overview of epilepsy and seizure first aid as well as how to manage seizure emergencies with midazolam in the home or community setting.

How do I complete this course? 

This course is delivered online and is self-paced. Participants will be required to film and upload their practical assessment video for our assessors to mark. 

How long do I have to complete the course?  

This course is to be completed within 3 months.  

How long does it take to complete this course? 

Please allow 3-5 hours to complete this course. 

Is anything required before I start? 

It is recommended participants have a current first aid certificate or CPR competency.

EAA’s assessment of competency by an epilepsy registered nurse provides certification that the participant has met the requirements of the online course, however the employer has the responsibility to authorise that their employee has met the internal requirements and followed internal processes to be competent to administer the medication.

What happens when I finish the course? 

Participants will be required to complete quizzes and a practical assessment before receiving a certificate of completion.
