Is anything required before I start?
It is recommended participants have a current first aid certificate or CPR competency.
Your employer has the responsibility to authorise that you have met the internal requirements and followed internal processes to be competent to administer the medication.

After successfully completing the online learning assessments you will be able to download your certificate of completion.
Note: This course provides you with the knowledge to administer emergency medication for seizures, but it does not replace hands-on practice. We strongly recommend that you practice this skill in a practical setting using the appropriate equipment to build confidence and competence.
How often should I do the course?
We recommend Epilepsy Essentials be completed every 2 years and Emergency Medications annually to maintain your knowledge. We offer Emergency Medications course in a refresher format, so you won’t need to complete the full induction course again if you pass the knowledge checks.
